I have lived in the Central Kentucky-Bluegrass area since coming to Danville to attend Centre College in 1972.  While at Centre I would go home to N.C. to train American Saddlebreds for the lady that taught me to ride.  I finally worked at Valhalla Stables in Danville for Bill Wise when he trained the world champion 5-gaited Saddlebred Surefire.

After 4 years working as a CPA for Coopers & Lybrand in Louisville, I moved back to the Lexington area to work as Controller at the thoroughbred breeding farm,  Ashford Stud, in Versailles, KY and later spent 9 years as CFO of Payson Stud Inc. in Lexington, KY and Payson Park Thoroughbred Training Center Inc in Indiantown, FL.  While at these farms I was witness to the arrival of Storm Bird, the sire of Storm Cat, and the birth and sale of Vindication, the champion 2-yearold thoroughbred by Seattle Slew.

My love for horses is now combined with my love of architecture and renovation of old buildings which I have done since I graduated from college.  Projects in Midway and Versailles bare the mark of the Blue Grass Trust for Historic Preservation.
